4/19/19 - Universal Day 2

Updated: Apr 23, 2019

After a long night’s rest(until eleven) we headed back to the park. We still went to the Universal Studio’s side so we could take the Hogwarts Express to go to the Island of Adventures park where Hogsmeade is located. All three Harry Potter rides were awesome, but our favorite out of those was definitely the Forbidden Journey.

Feeling awful hungry, we headed to The Three Broomsticks for some spareribs and a giant turkey leg. It was so amazing, but we could hardly even finish half, but we still tried. We also got some peach cider which was really refreshing. Since the weather was extremely hot, we headed to the Jurassic river ride for a little splash, let’s just say Elaina did not pick the best seat. A few rides later, and we were feeling ready to do the hulk roller coaster. While waiting in line for it, being the “smart” people we are, we accidently took a wrong turn and ended up in the front row line. Whoops. It took about 20 minutes longer than the regular line, but it was totally worth the wait.

My mom was joking on how we only wore dark clothes and she couldn't spot us on the roller coasters. She even almost bought us neon shirts. Thankfully she didn't. The funny part was when we were on one of the Harry Potter rides, and my mom was tracking my phone to see if we were almost done with the ride, but she had our phones in the bags she was holding for us. At first she didn't realize it, and thought we were close to being done.

We eventually meet up with the boys for dinner at Mythos. We were had high expectations because it won best theme park restaurant six years in a row. It had Greek food, and our meal was really good. Once again tho, our stomachs were too full to finish, and we ate way too much bread. We immediately knew it was going to amazing when we saw the butter had the universal logo on it. Even the architecture was cool, it felt like we were in a ancient caveish building. Way cool.

After that we hit some more rides which had shorter wait times because people started leaving later in the day. It was soooo funny riding the rides with my 6’ 2” Brazilian exchange student because he is scared of heights and was screaming the whole time. The hulk ride was stunning in the night!
